Chris Birds is a well-known local businessman, Chartered Surveyor and Partner with Derbyshire based property Firm Boxall Brown & Jones and Director with Rushton Hickman in Burton Upon Trent.

 He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Association of Residential Letting Agents and the National Association of Estate Agents; organisations he has been actively involved with at both a local and national level.

 As well as being the Deputy Under Sheriff of Derbyshire, he has been selected by the Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) to become a Valuer Member in the First Tier Tribunal Service (Property Chamber). In this judicial role, Chris presides over a wide range of property disputes in the United Kingdom, with specific focus on the Midlands.

 Chris is also proud to serve the community as a Presiding Magistrate in the Southern Derbyshire Criminal Courts.
